Cilla and Enoch

My fiancé and I would like to say a massive thank you to Liz and James for opening the door of their home, giving us their time, wisdom, patience and guidance during our pre marriage counselling session.

When we embarked on the discussion/course my fiancé and I were in a place of uncertainty, apprehension and fear as to whether marriage was the right step for us. 

We had a few sessions from other institutions and individuals before, but their advice was usually “Oh it will be ok when you get married, things will work out”. We soon learnt that things never just work out, you have to be “intentional and willing”. (Liz and James lingo lol)

As nice as the “it will work out” advice was to hear, it didn’t help us make an informed choice or have peace out our decision.

On the contrary, Liz and James caused us to think deeply, and answer questions we’d not thought to ask each other. We discussed whether we had the same values, understood what marriage was and THEN asked ourselves whether we wanted to go ahead into marriage or go our separate ways. 

Thankfully, and as a result of knowing what’s truly required, we were honest with ourselves. Today we’ve decided to press ahead and continue to join the Godly, honourable institution of marriage.

We love you guys, God bless you for all you do and we will be back!!! (especially when the kids start rolling in!)
